Industrial CT Calibration & Filtering Analysis
Project scope focused on validation of a new Werth TomoScope XS CT for use in production.
This was achieved via a series of step gauge measurements, calibrated with a Zeiss CMM with attached uncertainty estimation. During the project, an academic investigation into the effects of surface roughness, mesh filtering, and outlier removal was carried out, resulting in a custom software package for data ingest and visualization, as well as a custom procedure for estimating the effect of certain factors based on variability analysis.
